I know it been forever since I bogged, I would like to say I have a reason but no I don't. I am just lazy with it. That's all I can say.Obviously alot has happened since the last post. Mady is now a very energetic and some time out of control 2 1/2 year old. She loved Christmas and ended up super spoiled, I figured that's what would happen though:) She loves anything and everything that has Minnie Mouse on it. She loves to play with her dolls and do hair. No real news here with Pat and I. We did sell our house and we live in a small rental home until our house will be finished hopefully in May. Or at least that is when I am moving in. This humble little home makes me miss ALOT about our old house, and I am SUPER excited about the new one. For the few of you that follow this blog we are also just finishing up the paper work for our next adoption. We are excited about this and hope that there is someone special out there looking for us. Mady is always asking for a brother or a sister so hopefully it will happen while she still thinks it cool! So if any of you know of someone or heard of something please tell them about us, we have a another blog and it patandrachelolsen.blogspot.com. We would appreciate any help:)

Mady wouldn't touch this kitten she would just

lay on her stomach and giggle at it.

Now this poor thing, clearly she didn't have any

problem touching him.

She also LOVED this rooster, she would bend

down and just talk to it.

Mady's first hair cut, there wasn't much to cut

off but it's finally starting to come in, SLOWLY!

Her first fishing trip, she did much better than

I thought she would.

I should have rotated the last two but my helper

is getting tired and she can't seem to be more

than two feet from me or we have a meltdown so

I need to do much better at taking pictures, I am

awful at it and at the rate I have been blogging

Mady has yet to figure out a "cute"
smile for the camera.

She loves to climb in, on and out of everything.

Mady LOVES her food. She was waiting for a
bottle and picked up this tomato and started
to eat it like an apple. She never sits still, that
is why she still only weighs 19lbs. She is in the
13% for weight but I promise she is always eating.

Moving on to Mady's 1st birthday. She was

spoiled by many. She got 2 birthday parties

so everyone could join in on the fun.

She already enjoys opening presents. She

got the hang of it by the 1st present.

Granny made her a duck cake with marshmallow

frosting. She wasn't feeling good this day so

she didn't dig in like I thought she would.

Her very own princess cake, she didn't eat any

of the cake only the bright blue frosting.
I don't know what I was thinking when I got a

blue cake:)

She is such a blessing to us. We love

her very much. She is still small for

her age, but very smart. She is

starting to walk and she is

constantly talking. She stills loves

to dance and play hide and seek. She

loves shoes, help fold clothes,

and will give any THING

a kiss. That could be a problem down

the road but for its just SUPER cute.

Mady has a hard time understanding why Ketcher

doesn't like to play with her. This and the fact that
all she does is kiss him.

Getting into things that she isn't supposed to be
in is her favorite thing to do. Oh well I can't
complain about it.

I can't believe that Mady is almost a year old.

It's so crazy. She is still growing like a weed.

She is starting to walk but only a few steps a

day. She loves to be outside, play with balls,

give everything kisses, and LOVES to

dance, whenever she hears music she just

can't help herself.

9 months old

Mady is 9 months old and growing like a weed. She still enjoys all the same things as earlier but she really enjoys her food. She will eat anything (which can sometimes be annoying). Her favorite by far is ice cream. When I bring my bowl down stairs she crawls over and stands at my legs until I share. Then it's 2 bites for her 1 for me, then when it's gone she buries her head in the carpet and cries. Every time without fail! She can stand on her own when SHE wants and only when SHE wants, tries to climb out of her high chair, I guess they recommend you strapping them in for a reason, loves to open and close drawers, and finally has two tiny teeth. I can't believe how the last nine months flew by. Everyday it seems to just get better and better. She is no longer my little baby.

Every time we get together we take a picture of
the 4 of the babies. I think that they will look
like this for awhile. Now we are just waiting
for the two new boy cousins to get here:)

Christmas Eve

Mady liked Christmas this year, she sat on
Santas lap and didn't cry, unwrapped lots of
gifts and loved sucking on the ribbon. It was
fun, but I can't lie it will be more fun when
she knows whats going on. I can't wait.

I got a new camera for Christmas and haven't
gotten the program on to the computer yet, so
as soon as a do I will get some more pictures
up. We hope you all had a very Merry
Christmas and hopefully 2010 is great to you all.

Self-timing family pictures with a baby

doesn't really work.

Thanksgiving day just waiting for lunch.

So think back to a couple of months ago when I was saying that my life is boring... holy crap Mady NEVER sets still. She is always on the move. She is still for the a great baby but, she is not so good at playing by herself. I can honsetly say there are days I get nothing done, but at the end of the day I wouldn't change it for the world:)

At 7 months old she nows weighs about 15.5 pounds, 25 inches long, still not much hair, can get anywhere she wants, can pull herself up to the couch, loves yogurt, listening to her mom sing( I think that she is laughing at my crappy voice), peek-a-boo, napping with her dad, and basketball games.

Our newest family picture, I am not sure why
Pat and I are so far away from each other.
I am pretty sure we still love each other.:)

I wish this was bigger. This truly tell the story
of the Olsen's, I am laughing at all the chaos,
some of the kids are crying because the sun is
in there eyes, Chris just got done yelling at Ascha,
and Izzy is in her model like pose. Love it.

Mady LOVES her rice as long as I put a little
apple juice in it to sweeten it up. I think she is
going to have sweet tooth.

Just hanging out on the floor. As you can see
she still really doesn't have hair, and right now
I am okay with that. Then I don't have to do
it. Her eyes are I think officially grey. Not
blue and not brown.

So this last month has flown by. I can't believe that its the end of October. Harvest is taking forever and one day I will have my husband back:) Mady is growing like a weed. She can almost sit up by herself, and she is getting really close to crawling. It's bitter sweet but what can you do? The best part of October was be able to have Mady sealed and blessed. It great to know that she is ours forever. We were able to have all of our family at the blessing and it was fun. Sorry Olsen's I had every intention of taking pictures with grandparents and just now realized I didn't get one.

For all of you thinking that she is too young to have a little ice cream you are probably right, do you think that will stop me, no. She loves it.
Will was so excited to come to Mady's house and help dad show sheep. When he was out in the ring he said, in a rather loud voice, dad are we in 1st place yet? I was so cute. Then he has this weird obsession with smelling things and he was walking back and forth between lambs saying, "umm mell like lamb". He is so stinking funny.

And for Christmas I will forgo getting him a present and just tie a string around an old Mountain Dew bottle. He will love it.

Mady attended her first of many fairs and loved every minute of it. She cooperated so well it was crazy.

I would love to say that we have been SUPER busy lately and that is why there are no updates but that would probably just be a lie. One night after Mady took a bath I put her in her robe and she sat and watched t.v. until she fell asleep. For any of you that know anything about my dad's nightly routine, you would think that he taught her this habit. I think that's why I love it.

She is just shy of 4 months old and rolls everywhere and when she really wants to she can shimmy her way to things. I don't think it will be very long before she is crawling around.

Pat loves these pictures, during grain harvest we would ride with him and she would just sit and look out the window and he thought that he should start teaching her how to drive the combine so she can get a good start on things.

Updates from the last month....

Mady should probably get used to self portraits
because we seem to take alot of them.:) She
LOVES to be outside and with us this is a great
blessing. Whenever she is fussy I just take her
outside and she calms right down.

I love this picture!! Mady will suck on anything
including her Binky and her fingers at the same
time. I can't decide if I would rather she suck
on her fingers or her Binky. There are pros and
cons to both.

Mady's first trip to the zoo. She slept through
most of it but when she woke up she was happy.
You might be thinking that she is VERY chubby
but I promise it's all in her checks.

I know I say this everytime but

Mady is this best baby in the world.

She is getting a little personality and

I love to watch her grow every day.

She loves her blanket and doesn't

like to let go of it. She is all smiles

when her dad gets home and she loves

for people to talk to her. She is

spoiled rotten and gets everything

that she wants. I realize that we

could be creating a monster but,

I guess we will just deal with that

when it happens. I never thought

that I could love someone as much as

I love her, it's weird. We are hoping

that all of the paper work is final

in a couple of weeks, then we will

be able to seal her to us and she

will be stuck with us forever.

We are so lucky to have Mady in our lives. We love her so much and every day I am pretty sure she just gets cuter and cuter:) She is a wonderful baby, she loves to smile and laugh at anybody. We couldn't have "hand picked" a better little girl.

Mady and I got to stay in Kamas for one week. It was great! I am pretty sure that Mady was held for one entire week. She is very spoiled. But I guess that is okay.

The 4th of July is huge holiday for our family. We are always in Utah for the celebration. Pat doesn't love it like us "Kamasites", there is just something about the parade and rodeo. Oh well he will just have to learn to deal with it:)

Week two

Two weeks old... and sorry no pictures:(

Sorry this is a boring post, we lead a dull life, and I will get pictures next time. I had some taken the other day and can't wait to get them back.

Mady went for her two week appointment yesterday and she is healthy. She weighs 7 lbs and 7 ounces, not quite up to her birth weight but she should be in a week. I was certain that she would be at least 8 lbs. and taller but I was wrong. She is starting to stay awake more during the day and that's fun. She has been spoiled by everyone she comes into contact with.

Okay, so I can't figure out this whole thing yet but... While we were waiting for our papers to clear we decided to do some touring up the coast. We didn't let her out of her blanket because one, she was 4 days old and two, it was a little chilly.

Mady loves her binki. We try to take it out of her mouth and she grabs on to it like get lost! It is pretty cute.

And this is by far my favorite picture of Mady. She is a future Utah State Aggie. If I could get away with it she would wear it every day:) I LOVE it.

Mady is a wonderful baby. she only wakes up once in the night and then gets up kind of early but I can't complain. We love her!!

We love this little girl so much, we never had any idea how much joy she could bring us. This process has been up and down, but, we were so blessed in so many ways.

Anna is a wonderful, strong girl that made this possible. I just hope that Mady can have just a few of her qualities. We will always love her and her family. They have been perfect to work with. We can NOT say thank you enough!! Those two words are such an understatment.

We are so excited to get home and start our new life.

We would like to introduce you to Madysen Anna Olsen.

She was born May 15th, weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces, and 20.25 inches long.

We are a LOT nervouse about this whole "parenting thing" but we will figure it out soon enough.

Oh and P.S. I am not sure how well I will do at this blogging thing so be patient:)
